The followers are mostly based on your score and your performance, for instance you got 40 thousand points (roughly) and you got 36 followers and the amount of stars was only 3. Its a guess if im wrong. im wrong. Also my best time is 7-8 seconds agaisnt King arthur by using soul surge from the start.

About Shadow getting the Chaos Blast:
The way you “level up” the Knights of the Round Table is to forge better weapons for them.
When you play as Shadow, the best weapon you can forge for him does 3 things:
-Gives him an absolute assload of abilities, including one where his soul gauge is full right at the start.
-Every time you swing the sword, it shoots a Chaos Spear (REALLY overpowered).
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:
-The Soul Surge attack changes drastically. Whenever you get near the opponent, you use the Chaos Blast IN CONJUNCTION with Chaos Control. Considering that this uses up your Soul Gauge ridiculously slowly, Lancelot essentially turns broken as all hell for the vast majority of missions he can be played in.

Notes:
Each Knight’s new swords give them more of Sonic’s various skills, and some unique ones. Lancelot’s ultimate sword gives him Chaos Blast, for one.
Gawain’s climbing is fairly easy. You just have to mash A.

The way u beat lancalot returns us as soon as it starts use soul surge and don’t worry about perfect hit otherwise u eased up then if u don’t think u have enough time to get out of the way of chaos blast use block but if u do jump back wait a sec and then do a spin attack then jump back until he uses the chaos spear attack that goes up and down do a spin attack and keep attacking until u knock him down then jump back he will either do a chaos blast or chaos spear and then repeat the whole thing then when he does the chaos spear that is in the shape of an arch dodge until he come at u with the blue charge immedititly use the spin attack and repeat this and u should win I did this and it took me 1 min to beat him with no hits

in my opinion it should have been Shadow and the Black Night, with Sonic as percivle knuckles as lancelot and blaze as gawian. Still asume game though and great commentary, watch it when im in the gym
